Inspired by the design of the first tourbillon-equipped pocket watches designed by Breguet, a platinum variant is currently obtainable fitted with a movement coated in an anthracite-toned metal alloy. By unveiling this exceptional Tourbillon timepiece, the brand continues to respect the legacy of its founder and great master watch maker Abraham Breguet.
The Tradition 7047 Fusee Tourbillon in Platinum by Breguet is a gorgeous timepiece that frames faithful mechanical manually-wound movement – Calibre 569, bringing to life the functions of displaying hours and minutes and provides a 50-hour power reserve. The new thing about this “traditional” watch from Breguet is that it comes with a balance spring manufactured from silicon. Its balance-spring represents a major watch industry accomplishment due to the most intricate construction of the famous Breguet overcoil balance-spring. It is also noteworthy that this watch has a “fusee-and-chain” transmission system which is seldom seen in watches and usually only in those of the highest caliber.
The watch is encasing in a 41 mm case sculptured in platinum with finely fluted caseband and Sapphire caseback. The dial is made of silvered 18K gold, and also hand-engraved on a rose engine off-centered at 7 o’clock. The dial, sapphire and case are perfectly fitted together one after the other, thus enabling as water opposing of up to 30 meters.
